I loved A Year of Biblical Womanhood for the non-judgemental tone and the author's willingness to explore different ideas. I was glad for once that I followed the hype and read this book.
Tis the season for reading books about the garden and staring wistfully out the window. This book doesn't disappoint with good ideas, and basic instruction. I read this one over and over.
I read this book after I had stopped reading several more. It was British light reading -- a perfect antidote to a reading rut.

"British light reading." I love that as a category!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not sure exactly what it means, but it usually involves country estates with sheep.
DeleteI read Rachel's first book and was a little worried to read A Year of Biblical Womanhood but I might have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAlso? I need to check out anything that is categorized as "British light reading". Thanks for the recs!
I haven't read the first one, so I'm not sure how they compare.
DeleteI'm reading a Year of Biblical Womanhood right now, just started but love it. And I love chick lit, so A Crowded Marriage is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteCool!
