My Favorite No Knead Breads & Pantry Challenge Update

My very favorite way to make bread is Nancy Baggett's Kneadlessly Simple method.  I burnt this loaf a bit, but it still tasted great.
Even the kids asked for seconds on salad when I used the leftovers to make croutons.

If you'd like to try this method without buying the book, Nancy Baggett has a few recipes up on her blog.

I had a really good week pantry challenge wise.  I only bought essentials at the grocery shop to make up for the deficit DH caused last week.

Here are the highlights:

Used up part of an open bottle of wine and the leeks from my crop share in Oregon Pork Chops
Packed some granola and some other things from the backs of my cabinets when we took a road trip
Made three different types of homemade salad dressing which has the fam eating a ton of greens

Next weekend I have big plans to cook up one of my turkeys, and make some more freezer meals.

  1. Good job on the progress you've made using up food in your pantry! I love the feeling of cleaning out my pantries.
